All modern vending machines generally are able to provide you with a quality drink within the limitations of the machine. Here are some frequently asked questions with our help guide below

1. How many people will be using the machine?

2. Do I want a plumbed in / or do I want one I can simply just plug in?

We provide machines with either option and some with both options. Most with both options are smaller machines. We have some excellent small machines that do not need to be plumbed in yet still give you the choice of 20 - 30 different drinks. Information on machine pages.

3. Do I want people to pay for their drink or is it a service I want to provide for free?

Some small machines give you the choice of free or pay vend. The large vendors give you the choice. All vending machines offering pay vend give you the choice of setting your own price.

4. Do I have to allocate a lot of room for the vending machine?

Not at all. We offer machines that can " do-it-all" that hardly take up any room at all. We even have one you can hang on the wall. When you come across the word Tabletop this means simply that. You can place the machine on top of a work top, in a foyer area for customer facing purposes:- wherever you like. For many of these you can order base units. These are matching units to compliment your machine and provide you with storage space for excess ingredients, cups etc. If you are unsure whether the machine you are considering has a base unit, contact us and we will tell you what is available.

5. What about if I want to serve drinks in a china cup / mug?

This depends on the machine you are considering. Most In-Cup machines do not provide this facility whereas most Ingredient machines do. Please refer to the machine pages, if you are still unsure, contact us.

6. I want a machine that needs no maintenance and has high hygiene standards!

Most modern machines have minimum maintenance. Ingredient machines will need some maintenance; however many of these now have self cleaning programmes. Please refer to the types of machines available below.

7. Ok, I want a machine that does all the range of coffees, for example Caffe Mocha, Caffe Latte etc. I then want to be able to choose whether I want strong / medium / mild coffee. Which machines do I look at for that?

Generally the ingredient machines give you these options. You have now reached the stage where you need to refer to the types of machines available.

Types of machines available

In-Cup Machines

The ingredient comes to you in the cup. You put the cups in the machine and that's it. Very hygienic, easy maintenance. The drinks cost you more in most cases than ingredient machines. In the machine pages you will see the terminology for example "7 selections". This means that you can have seven types of drinks in the machine at the same time. If you provided your sugar / and or milk this would give you more choices. Many of the machines have some type of sugar dispensing thus giving you more choice. Ingredient Machines

The ingredient comes to you loose. You fill the canisters in the machine. Generally the more canisters the machine holds the more drink options you have. Slightly more maintenance involved than in-cup machines although many come with self cleaning programmes. Modern ingredient machines can offer you all the increasingly popular coffees such as Caffe Mocha, Caffe Latte etc. Link Vending provides you with ingredients from around 5p per cup. The drinks come to you in Pods / Sachets / Filter-packs. These are the various terminologies used to describe them. There are not many of these systems on the market. Bean-to-Cup Machines

Also known as Bean2Cup the term means that the machine has the facility to grind fresh coffee beans within the scope of the machine. These are normally within the ingredient machine options. Please refer to our Ingredients page for drinks available.

Fresh Filter Coffee Machines (Save over £40 with our most popular small filter coffee machine

Ideal for meeting rooms, dinner parties, cafes, restaurants and having coffee "on-the go". Fresh coffee is filtered through a filter normally giving you 10 cups plus of coffee.
