2 types / BOTTLED and BOTTLESS WATER COOLERS (POU (Point of use))

Bottled water coolers are simply plugged in to an electrical socket. You order bottles of natural water (19litres or 13 litres in size ) from the supplier. They are simple to change but take up space / are heavy to lift / and you need to manage the ordering to ensure you do not run out. POU water coolers need to be plumbed in. Providing you have an electric socket and a mains water supply within 2 metres there are normally no additional charges. Fitting takes around 1 hour maximum in most cases. Our latest POU water coolers use John Guest fittings and tubing that is around 1cm wide (hardly noticeable). Both have advantages and disadvantages / for example you might run out of the bottled water whereas with the POU coolers you never run out. With bottled you do not have to think about a mains supply whereas the opposite is the case for POU coolers. There are great savings to be made with POU coolers with regard to the cost of the water.

New We now stock the latest POU water coolers from Italy, the Azure. These are revolutionary in that they have devised a direct chill system. The improved technology in these is that they do not need any sanitising cleans unlike the normal POU water coolers. Thus they are more hygienic and can save on expense on sanitising. These are also available carbonated.

SERVICING

Sanitising cleans: Bottled every 3 months and POU machines every 6 months are the recommended cleaning periods. With the POU cooler there is a filter that needs to be changed on a recommended 6-monthly basis. They are not expensive and very simple to change. The Azure does not need sanitising. We have fully managed service arrangements with the Azure anywhere in the UK

THE FILTERS IN BOTTLESS WATER COOLERS

The main filter in our coolers is a Granulated Carbon Filter that removes Chlorine / Organic matter, tastes and odours. There is a second small filter that removes particles.

HOT and COLD / COOK and COLD

The one most have is the cook and cold. This (in the case of the POU cooler) provides filtered water at ambient temperatures and the bottled water bottled at ambient temperature. Cold means water is normally chilled down to a cool 5 degrees. With Hot and cold you have hot water suitable for making cups of coffee (approx 87 degrees) and the cold as previously described. The New Babe Range is hot enough for tea.

WATER COOLER SIZES

Table-top coolers are ideal where you have confined space. On average they are just over 1ft square and can range from 12-14 inches high. Ideal for Sitting on a worktop at home or the office- fitting almost anywhere.

Free-standing coolers are the same depth and width and average around 1 metre high.

BOTTLED WATER ORDERING

With Link Vending the minimum order is 2 bottles. With regards to your bottled water supply and deliveries we are now able to serve most areas of the UK.

WARRANTY

All our water coolers come with a minimum one year warranty. In the case of bottled coolers it is continuous providing you order your water from Link Vending.
