There is a real need and a growing desire to cut waste and energy use. This needs simple, effective ways to reduce our impact on the environment. At FLAVIA they have gone one step further by providing coffee machines and drinks that help our customers have a more sustainable workplace.

Reducing Energy

The FLAVIA Creation 400™ has been designed to be as energy efficient as possible in order to be the most responsible coffee machine available.
Just enough water is heated for a few hot drinks at a time so as not to waste energy heating a large tank every time a drink is served.
Water is heated to precisely the right temperature, avoiding any unnecessary boiling. In independent energy consumption surveys, testing the FLAVIA Creation 400 against leading market competitors, our coffee machine is the one of the most efficient on the market.

Reducing Waste

In 2008 FLAVIA introduced the UK’s first hot drinks vending eco-friendly cup to be developed in the UK. The N-viro cup is lined with a bio plastic derived from corn which allows it to be fully compostable which is later used on farms and horticultural facilities. FLAVIA has developed a Waste 2 Energy scheme which enables all filter packs and ancillary packaging to be converted to energy which is fed back into the national grid. If all FLAVIA filter packs were included in the scheme we would generate enough energy to light more than 10,000 homes each year
